PROSTHETIC TREATMENTS

Prosthetic treatments is a branch of dentistry that aims to replace the lost tooth or teeth in cases of tooth deficiency or damage. Prosthetic treatments aim to correct functional and aesthetic losses and improve the person’s oral health, smile aesthetics and general quality of life. These treatments often include dentures, implants, bridges and other restorative dental applications.

Here are some basic examples of prosthetic treatments:

Prosthetic Teeth (Total Prosthesis or Partial Prosthesis): Complete dentures are dentures that cover all missing teeth in the upper jaw, lower jaw or both. Partial dentures are used to replace missing teeth in a specific area only. These prosthetic teeth correct deficiencies in the mouth and help the patient regain natural biting and chewing functions.

Dental Implants: Dental implants are artificial tooth roots made of titanium or titanium alloy that are placed in the jawbone. Implants allow fixed prostheses or bridges to be attached to areas where teeth are missing. This provides a permanent solution that behaves and looks like natural teeth.

Bridges: Bridges are a type of fixed prosthesis used to fill missing teeth. Bridges usually consist of artificial teeth supported by natural teeth. It is placed in the area where the missing tooth is, eliminating the missing tooth and providing an aesthetic appearance.

Lamina Veneers and Porcelain Crowns: Lamina veneers and porcelain crowns are used to correct and strengthen the aesthetic appearance of teeth. These applications can be used on teeth that need to be corrected in terms of color, shape or size.
